Love and Betrayal - Andley- Ch.47

There was dry silence for about 5 seconds and then Selena started. "Andy as you can see I am struggling very much. I literally have no one. My parents died some years ago when I was 19, by the way I am now 22. I have no friends anymore, and no family. I just need your help for a little while" I looked at Ash, for I seriously had no idea what to do in this situation. Ashley cleared his throat and with reluctance said. "You and the baby can stay in the guest room for a few days until we can figure something out." I looked at Ash and my eyes widened with shock. What a great person to let someone stay in your home who has slept with and birthed the child of your current live-in boyfriend.This was going to be a little strange, I must admit. Selena jumped up hugged me and then went to Ash, thanking us a million times as she did "I know you don't know me that well, but trust me you wont regret it!" She said happily. "Would you like me to get the rest of the babies things from the car?" I asked Selena a bit shakily. I honestly wasn't sure this was a good idea. We obviously had a physical attraction to one another at one time, but then I decided I wasn't going to argue with Ashley's decision. "Yeah sure If Ash will stay with the baby while we both get everything, that would be great!" Selena said with a toothy smile. I can tell We had just made her one the happiest people to be breathing right now. "S-sure" Ash said as I was already starting to hand him my daughter who had now fallen back to sleep


Selena and I headed back towards the beat up mess that stood still and dark in Ashley and I's driveway. "There isn't much." she started. "I don't even have a playpen or crib for her. She sleeps in her car seat." Selena said, with guilt sweeping her words. Right then I wanted to cry again. My own flesh and blood had been sleeping in a car, from the time she was born! This was my fault if anyone's "Look Selena, I'm so very sorry. I really had no clue" I said my voice shaking a bit as the lump grew larger within my throat. I started crying harder, as I saw that between the both of them all they had was three small plastic grocery bags full of clothing. "Look Andy you are here now and that's all that counts right?" I looked at her for a sec emotionless besides the salt water running over my cheeks, and then beckoned for her to follow me back into the house.
