About 4 more agonizing seconds of stale silence passed, and I honestly felt the urge to run out of the room. Before I could, CC blurted out. "Andy, a father? This is fucking awesome!!"I looked up to see everyone's face loosen, and start to smile, and or laugh. I then chuckled a nervous laugh, of relief, and then kindly asked everyone to please have a seat at the table. Everyone had a seat as Ash I started to bring the dishes to the table. "Wow this honestly looks amazing. I can not tell you the last time I had a hot, home cooked meal like this" Selena excitedly exclaimed as she feasted her eyes on the feat upon her. "Well, by all means everyone, dig in. " I calmly said whilst looking over everyone. Ash seemed overly happy I must admit. What was on his devious mind I wondered? I decided not to think TOO hard, and to just go with the flow. I think we all kind of had enough stressors for the night.

We talked, laughed, giggled, ate, and made fuss over the baby for the next 90 plus minuets. Everyone seemed very pleased with everything at that very moment. I honestly expected more negativity but hey I didn't want to question anything positive. The guys left and told Selena it was great meeting her kissed the baby and headed home. It was after 9 pm when everything started to settle down. "Andy, is there a way you can help me bath the baby, and put her to bed?" Selena timidly asked. "Sure I will. I got her some new jammies too Sel" She smiled wide and said "Great! thank you again so much. I can never thank you for how kind you have been." I kinda waved it off as no big deal and headed back to get the baby wash and new jammies I had gotten for Andrea. We both headed to the bathroom, and gave the baby a soothing night time bath. The feeling of seeing my child happy warm, and content filled my heart with such loving warmth that I couldn't never describe, with crude English words.

We got her all settled down into her new bassinet, and before we knew she had drifted off into a slumber. I watched her for a few precious seconds, as she slept, then kissed her on her tiny cheek. A tear dropped from my left eye as my lips parted with her pure flesh.
"She's amazing isn't she?" Selena said as she rested her hands and chin on my shoulder, while admiring and watching our sleeping angel. I awkwardly answered yes whilst moving from her so that she wasn't leaning on me any longer.Before I had, I noticed a diamond ring, tight on her ring finger and replied "Beautiful ring Sel" She immediately replied "It was my mother's wedding ring from my father" I wasn't sure of what to say next, and after a few seconds I blurted out "I'm going to get to bed. Ash is waiting for me. Have a good night Sel." I said quickly then just as swiftly, exited the room.

I got down the hall and entered our bedroom room to see Ash sitting up on his lap top. When he realized I was in the room, he shut the laptop and smiled wide, then asked cheerfully. "How'd it all go?" I looked at him confused and leary of his intentions "Ash, why are you so overly happy about this situation? I mean I cheated on you, and that memory is literally etched permanently with human life!" I said, in guilty agitation
"Well, maybe I thought of something you hadn't." My eye brows raised in wonder, as the words rolled off his clever tongue. "Ya know that family we have always wanted, but only thought of adoption? He said while nudging just a bit closer. "Well, yes...wait...you aren't thinking..." "Listen Andy, she isn't fit to take care of this child. You have every right to take full custody of your own daughter. We can't keep taking care of the both of them you know it's the right thing to do. Would you rather your daughter living out of a car for the next we don't know how long?!"
